August Outing Update

Guys,

T.J. Brought up a good point in an email. Although we know that the Eliot Key sandbar is where it's at, the Haulover sandbar is much closer for many more boats. Another good case is that we could find much more lobsters behind Elliot. Let's have a vote and decide what sandbar we want to go to.

August Club Outing

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to give you a recap of what was covered on Wednesday night. We decided that were going to do a fishing/diving outing. We're going to award a nice little gift for the member with the most points. Here's how the points are going to work.

1.) Pelagics are going to be worth 5 points and need to weigh more than 5lbs
2.) Muttons and Groupers are going to be worth 5 points and must weigh more than 5lbs
3.) Lobsters and any speared fish will be worth 3 points

The outing will be on the 24th of August. After wards we're going to have a wrap up party at the sandbar and cook up everything we've caught.

Just some tidbits of information to get out.

The limit for lobsters, for those of you who will dive, is six (6) per person per day and you need a valid lobster license in order to posses and lobster.

I've contacted an old club member that Jim Hobales recommended and I'm waiting on him to reply in order to set up a guest speaker for this month.

Also, I can't stress enough for you to participate in this blog. Please feel free to post whatever you might think would be beneficial to the club and or it's members.
